Varun according to Indian mythology, is the God of Rain and of the direction West.

Varun or Varuna or Varunan is also one of the more ancient gods in Indian mythology , he is known to ride a sea horse. He is also knows to be a guardian for one of the nine treasures of Kubera. He is also considered to be the God of Oceans/Water

Varuna - in Vedism, god of the night sky who with his thousand eyes watches over human conduct and judges good and evil and punishes evildoers; often considered king of the Hindu gods and frequently paired with Mitra as an upholder of the world.
