Tvashtri is the god of craftsmen and a son of Surya and Adita in Hinduism. He made the three worlds with pieces of the sun (his father, Surya, is the solar deity), as well as creating the moon and the weapons of the gods, such as Vajra (Indra's thunderbolt). He is the father of Trisiras, who was killed by Indra. Tvashtri created Vritra, a fearsome dragon, in revenge.

Some alternative names for Tvashtri are Tvashtar, Twashtri, Tashtar and Visvakarman.
