Rakshi (रक्शी) is a millet-based distilled alcoholic drink popular in Nepal. Because of its popularity, there exists a temperance movement in Nepal, with women's groups agitating to ban it.

Rakshi, however, is traditionally an important requirement at a lot of religious rituals and social events, perhaps because it is not only an alcoholic drink but also because its alcoholic nature is seen as being antiseptic. It is a strong drink, clear rather like vodka or gin, and is often brewed at home.
