Pārtha (Sanskrit: पार्थ, pāŗtha) - is the other name for Arjuna (अर्जुन, or aŗjuna). The name literally means Son of Pritha (पृथा, or Pŗitha), the other name for Kunti. Krishna played the role of charioteer to Arjuna during the Mahabharata War, and hence is also called PāŗthaSāŗthi (Sanskrit: पार्थसार्थी, The Charioteer (or, Guide) of Pāŗtha).
