Khetri is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of Shekhawati region. It is known for its Copper Project.

Khetri is actually two towns, the first "Khetri Town" was founded by Raja Bhopal Singh. The next is the town of "Khetri Nagar", which is about 10 km away from Khetri. Khetri Nagar is famous for the largest copper project under government of India.

The Khetri Copper Complex of is situated here. The town of Khetri is also famous for its delicious pickles. A worthy place to visit by one who wants to wander the places still left undiscovered.The king of Khetri RAJA AJIT SINGH was given name to Swami Vivekananda,earlier name of swamiji was NARENDRA. The saffron turban and clothes was given to swamiji by RAJA AJIT SINGH.King also help them financially for appearing in Chicago DHARMA SAMELLAN,



from where swamiji got publicity worldwide.
