The Hindustan Times is a leading newspaper in India. It has its roots in the independence movement of the first half of the twentieth century. It was edited at times by many important people in India, including Devdas Gandhi (the son of Mahatma Gandhi) and Khushwant Singh.

Hindustan Times (established in 1924) is the flagship publication of HT Media Ltd. It is has a nation wide reach in India (barring Southern India), with simultaneous editions from New Delhi, Lucknow, Patna and Kolkata. It is also printed from Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ranchi. HT has also launched India's first youth daily HT Next in 2004. The Mumbai edition was launched on 14th July 2005.

Other sister publications of Hindustan Times are Hindustan (Hindi Daily), Nandan (Monthly children's magazine) and Kadambani (Monthly literary magazine).
