The Dasanami sannyasin (dasanami, Sanskrit for 'ten names') are Hindu ascetics who belong to one of ten orders established by Adi Shankara in the 8th century (another view - 5th Century B.C) in India. The orders are also known as the Dasanami Sampradaya. The ten orders are:
