D. B. Kasar (born 14 April, 1968, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra) is the author of "Rig veda to Raigarh — making of Shivaji the great" discusses the relation of the Indus script and the Rigveda.

He attempts a decipherment of the Indus script with help of Rigvedic hymns and Germanic runes. According to Kasar, seals found in Indus civilization are in fact sheets containing rigvedic hymns. Kasar's speculations appear to have evoked no reaction from either popular or academic criticism.
