Arun or Aruna refers to the charioteer of the Sun or the rising Sun, according to Hindu scriptures. Arun is a common male name in India.

Arunodaya - means sunrise since it refers to the rise (udaya) of Aruna (meaning Sun).


In Hittite mythology, the son of Kamrusepa and the god of the sea.
